Ski Centre Trip for Helmingham and Henley Children

Full CalendarSchool Events

This event will take place between 8:30am and 3:15pm on 27/03/2024

We are delighted to let you know that we have organised a trip to the Suffolk Ski & Leisure Park in Ipswich, on Wednesday 27th March.

This is for all of our children in Reception through to Year 6, at both Henley and Helmingham Primary Schools.

Your child/ren will have the opportunity to learn to ski and toboggan, while the younger children will also learn to play mini-golf and the older children will have a go on the Ringos – a doughnut-shaped sledge!

All children will need to wear full-length trousers, long sleeves, trainers, gloves and coats. They will also need a whole change of clothing in a separate bag – especially as they will get wet while tobogganing!

Children will also need to bring a water bottle, a snack and a packed lunch. All children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals, as well as children who are in Years 3 to 6 who are eligible for Free School Meals. If you would like the school to provide a packed lunch, please reply to this email before Wednesday 13th March - stating the choice of sandwich required (cheese, ham or tuna).

We are extremely grateful to both the Friends of Henley and Helmingham groups, who are heavily subsidising this trip by £18.00 per pupil, so that we are only asking for a contribution of £10.50 per child. Please log into your Arbor account (on the Trips link) to consent and make your payment. If you are unable to make a contribution for this trip, please contact the school office as soon as possible.

A coach has been organised to depart from Henley Primary School, so we ask that all Helmingham pupils are dropped off at Henley Primary School at 8.30am and picked up from Henley at 3.15pm.
